School Background

Kisauni Vocational Training Centre was established in 1968 at Majengo and has since undergone significant growth and transformation. In 1990, it was among 64 Youth Polytechnics in Kenya that were upgraded to offer Artisan courses.

Today, we provide Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Artisan Courses and National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) Trade Tests (formerly known as Directorate of Industrial Training - DIT). Over the years, we have empowered thousands of students with valuable technical skills, enabling them to secure employment or venture into self-employment.

As a community-managed institution, we have thrived through the support of the local community, government grants, and contributions from well-wishers both locally and internationally.
